Don’t eat that!!!  Along the trails, mushrooms bloom on decaying trees, adding beauty and color.  Numerous varieties, sizes, shapes and colors.  We decided to only eat the food we brought, and skipped the opportunity to dine on the mushrooms.

According to Wikipedia:
–A mushroom (or toadstool) is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source.
–A fungus (plural: fungi or funguses) is any member of the group of organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds, as well as the more familiar mushrooms. These organisms are classified as a kingdom, Fungi.
